What we do
Plenty of homes have old silverware or brassware tucked away, often out of sight because it is tarnished. We can give new life to old, tired metal items, and in some cases offer alternatives that keep them looking good with less ongoing maintenance.
Silver plated items are usually either EPNS, meaning electroplated nickel silver, or Britannia Metal, a pewter alloy. EPNS is generally straightforward to work with, while Britannia metal is much softer and takes considerably more skill to refurbish well.
Home renovation projects often call for a new finish on old household fittings, whether that is a satin chrome finish on tired brass door fittings or a switch to gold plated tapware in the bathroom.
We refurbish old jewellery, which can save money compared with buying new. Watches need their workings removed before we can electroplate them; your jeweller can help with that step.
